About the Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will divide your time between hands-on technical work and team leadership. You’ll write and review production code, drive system design and architectural discussions, and mentor engineers through complex technical challenges. At the same time, you will guide your team’s growth, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and help shape our product direction.
This role requires someone who can think strategically, execute effectively, and stay close to the code.
What You’ll Do
Development and operation of services and tools used by software developers to build, test, deploy, and operate applications, Infrastructure management.
Providing subject matter expertise in reliability practices such as observability, production readiness, and incident management.
Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define and deliver on product roadmaps.
Help shape and uphold best practices in code quality, testing, security, and system performance.
Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and ownership.

Contemporary technical operating practices, including infrastructure as code, cloud-service integration, and SRE principles & DevOps practices.
Contemporary tools, services, and software used by DevOps, system, and infrastructure engineering practitioners.
Managing systems and services with the appropriate degree of production readiness (documentation, monitoring thresholds, availability, observability) and ensuring operational requirements - specifically incident, change, and cost management - are addressed.
Collaborative and grounded, with a preference for in-person interaction and real-time discussion.
Required Skills
8+ years of Leveraging a subset of technologies such as: AWS (ECS/EKS, RDS, Cloudfront, ALB, IAM, Secrets), Datadog, Grafana, Terraform, terraform modules, Kubernetes, Jenkins / Github Actions.
1+ year of experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead, with continued technical contribution.
Proficiency in running high availability systems and supporting infrastructure in customer-facing production environments.
Experience with API design, frontend/backend integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to influence team direction and mentor others through technical excellence.
