POSITION OVERVIEW:
Key Responsibilities - your role will involve:
- Conducting impactful group sessions, maintaining frequent and supportive participant communication
- Consistently delivering high-quality education and employment curriculum to participants
- Upholding the quality and fidelity of Concordance Reentry Model curriculum when delivering group sessions
- Preparing for sessions with participants by reviewing curriculum and participant case notes
- Preparing ad-hoc curriculum to support the career goals and development of participants
- As needed, holding 1:1 sessions with participants and helping participants develop a career plan
- Building a bond of trust with participants to ensure smooth transition to post-release services
- Leveraging career readiness tools and resources and to support the participant
Collaborative team engagement
- Documenting participant interactions, progress, and challenges in electronic record system
- Collaborating closely with participants’ care team, including Case Managers and Therapists, to ensure coordination of services and holistic care delivery
- Attending team meetings and trainings

- CPR / Adult First Aid certification preferred
- Preferred certifications: Certified Professional Career Coach, Counselor and/or Offenders Workforce Development Specialist
- Ability to pass DOC security clearance
- Valid Driver’s license
- CPR / Adult First Aid certification preferred
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- 3-5 years of experience of adult instruction experience, counseling, coaching and/or experience directly supporting a formerly incarcerated population
- Significant local travel required
- Sit, stand, and walk for a considerable amount of time throughout the day
- Occasionally, help set up for Center events or move classroom around including but not limited to carrying and setting up tables and chairs.
