The Department of Public Health's Operations Support Bureau - Vital Records is seeking a well-qualified individual to fill the position of Intermediate Typist-Clerk.
All interested employees who currently hold the payroll title of Intermediate Typist-Clerk are invited to submit a cover letter, their resume, and copies of their last two (2) performance evaluations.

Position Duties
- Assisting funeral directors with requests for death records.
- Printing death certificates.
- Processing mail order requests.
- Answering phone inquiries and assisting customers at the service window.
- Maintaining training certificates.
- Daily voicemail retrieval.
- Fax distribution.
- Ordering office supplies and scheduling trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
Must currently be a permanent Los Angeles County employee who has passed their initial probationary period and currently holds the payroll title of Intermediate Typist-Clerk.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of birth and death records.
- Ability to work effectively and productively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Customer service orientated.
- Cash handling experience.
