Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the supplier selection process for new product introductions for the External Manufacturing group supporting Subcon and Foundry.
- Partner with product design and central engineering teams for Design for Manufacturability review and prototype sample management.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives with should cost analysis, maintaining NPI model competitiveness through data-driven analysis.
- Manage the RFQ process, ensuring accurate and timely responses from suppliers, overseeing negotiations with suppliers.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality and sourcing teams to identify and qualify potential suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate supply contracts and development agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure "design for cost" is optimized throughout the supplier selection and product development process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in semiconductor packaging.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Engineering, or other business/technical field from an accredited university
- 10+ years in Semiconductor Manufacturing, Sales or Sourcing
- Knowledge of Semiconductor packaging and fabrication processes
- Experience in Contract negotiations including Long Term Supply Agreements
- Experience in “should-cost” modeling
- Experience in Supplier Relationship Management
- Experience in RFI, RFP & RFQ processes
- Experience with comprehensive Digital Procurement Systems
- Must be willing to travel domestic and international up to 25%
- Fluent oral and written English, preference for Chinese fluency
- Familiarity with local/regional supply logistics and transportation
