Under limited supervision, indirectly reports to the Office of Graduate Medical Education, is responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day operations by directing and coordinating the activities of one or more complex GME programs. Facilitates and coordinates educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds, etc.) that support the program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements. Maintains records, databases, provides curriculum information, provides oversight of the application process and maintains documentation for continued accreditation. Provides guidance to residents/fellows on program and GME policies, and administrative aspects of the program. Works directly with the Program Director and Administrator and serves as a resource for residents/fellows/faculty. Tracks, documents, and reports on educational activities for residents/fellows, for the purpose of meeting board certification requirements, meeting program accreditation requirements, and complying with policies and procedures of GME.
Responsibilities
- May serve as the lead for all aspects of the assigned program(s).
- Provides mentorship to other levels of GME Program Coordinators.
- Provides guidance regarding accreditation and program management to program leadership.
- Assists the Program Director and faculty in planning and implementing program quality improvement projects and resident/fellow wellness outcomes.
- Assists Program Director in development of program evaluations that measure resident/fellow/faculty performance.
- May take a more active role in recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes. Reads current media resources to keep apprised of changes and current trends within the specialty.
- May present at local, regional, or national GME meetings.
- Identifies areas for programmatic improvement and recommends initiatives to address programmatic areas for improvement.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and those of PC Intermediate.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret data from all sources as necessary Proficiency in New Innovations and other GME software Proficiency in applying common and specialty-specific program requirements, institutional GME policies, and TMB policies and procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office Advanced communication skills including public speaking
- Ability to provide support, training, and mentoring to other PCs Includes all Key Skill Areas (KSA) of a PC Intermediate
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred. TAGME required upon eligibility.

- Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
