The Project Manager-Associate will join a newly established Integration Management Office (IMO). The IMO provides centralized oversight, coordination and support across integration efforts to ensure successful merger outcomes. Under direct supervision, the Project Manager-Associate will support the IMO to ensure alignment with strategic goals for the integration through comprehensive project management, proactive risk management, resource optimization, effective communication and change management..
The Project Manager-Associate will serve as a point of contact between the IMO, executive leadership, task force and working group leads and other stakeholders. Will facilitate and lead regular meetings, status updates and cross-functional collaboration across work streams and functional units.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of projects; coordinates the activities of a project team, identifies appropriate resources, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of the project or initiative.
- Provide oversight of all activities completed within their assigned Task Force or Fuctional Leader, including working groups and special initatives.
- Partner with project sponsors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to determine project goals and priorities.
- Manage project expectations with stakeholders, sponsors and others as appropriate; advises on project progress, potential issues, obstacles, risk, conflicts or challenges.
- Provide project status updates to supervisor and/or Functional Area Manager as required.
- Monitor performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or project resource additions to ensure quality standards are met for all project deliverables.
- Facilitate critical artifacts/deliverables for discussion or approval by governance groups.
- Monitor for decisions/artifacts/deliverables for cross-communication to other TF and Functional Leaders.
- Support in identification, planning, and execution of change management activities and strategic communcations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of standardized project management tools and methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant project management software and all Microsoft Office business supporting applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively on projects or in work group and improve workflows.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge in business process optimization and change management desirable.
- Familiarity with higher education structures, academic policy, and regulatory/accreditation requirements desirable.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
