Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Reconciliations:
- Data Extraction & Organization: Pull reports from current systems and prepare them for migration.
- Data Cleanup & Mapping: Validate, clean, and map data into required formats for the new software.
- Report & Template Preparation: Format and standardize reports/templates for import and testing.
- Data Entry & Adjustments: Enter or adjust data where automation is not possible.
- Testing & Reconciliation: Support test runs, reconcile balances, and confirm accuracy between old and new systems.
- Process Documentation: Record workflows, mappings, and create “how-to” guides for team reference.
- Project Support: Track tasks, coordinate with team members and vendors, and provide administrative support.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the implementation project.
Education, Skills and Abilities:
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: Strong Accounting and Systems Foundation
Understands core accounting principles (COA, GLs, AP/AR, reconciliations) and can interpret financial statements. Familiar with accounting/ERP systems like Sage, NetSuite, Acumatica, Inn-Flow, or HIA, and able to get up to speed on new platforms quickly. - Advanced Excel and Data Handling: Highly proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, data cleaning). Ability to map and match data across systems including COAs, departments, and vendors, with a focus on accuracy and structure.
- Reporting and Documentation Skills: Able to generate key financial reports and maintain clear documentation for imports, reconciliations, and process workflows to support handoff or audits.
- Detail-Oriented and Process-Savvy: Identifies and flags data inconsistencies early. Understands accounting workflows (postings, approvals, accruals) and can support system transition or implementation.
- Technically Curious and Adaptable: Quick to learn tools and software workflows. Familiarity with bulk uploads, imports, and AP automation or AI-powered systems is a plus.
- Reliable Communicator and Team Player: Shows initiative, follows through consistently, and communicates clearly with both finance and technical teams. Willing to pitch in on evolving or ad hoc needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
- Occasionally lifting items up to 20lbs.
- Comfortable working in an office setting with extended screen time.
Duration: This is a temporary, project-based position expected to last 90 to 120 days with a potential transition to a permanent role.
