We are looking for a Jr. Sous Chef.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...
As a Jr. Sous Chef, at our prestigious Relais & Châteaux and Forbes-rated property, you will play a pivotal role in leading the morning culinary operations of our Forbes-rated, Relais & Châteaux restaurant. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service, while mentor junior staff and supporting the kitchen leadership team. This position is ideal for a passionate, detail-oriented chef with a strong foundation in fine dining and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities to include:
- Overseeing Morning Production of Mise en Place for the Tasting Menu
- Overseeing 1-2 breakfast cooks, 1 porter, and 1 prep cook- ensuring all food prepared is of the high standard we’ve set.
- Ordering Produce, Dry Goods, Proteins, and Supplies for the restaurant Daily.
- Assisting with Inventory tracking, recording, and management
- Utilizing daily food trim in family meal, patio menu specials, and other outlets
- Involved in planning and upkeep of kitchen garden on property
- Overseeing/Delegating daily cleaning projects of kitchen
- Assisting in dish development for breakfast, patio, and tasting menu with executive Chef
- Logging of invoices as deliveries are made daily
- Covering shifts of absent cooks when necessary
- Assisting in bread/pastry production as needed

Requirements
YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE…
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fine dining kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classical and modern cooking techniques.
- Experience in breakfast/brunch service and high-volume operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for hospitality, sustainability, and culinary innovation.

The Starting Salary for this role will be $59,000.00 annually.
