D2 Government Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Customer Service & Administrative Support Specialist to join the Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) team at Travis AFB. This role is responsible for delivering front-line customer support, administrative assistance, and information and referral services to M&FRC clients. The position requires initiative, discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a wide range of M&FRC programs.
This position also serves as a backup to the Community Readiness Assistant and may require light lifting and mobility (such as sitting on the floor to inspect connections).
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Information/Referral
Greet and assist customers at the M&FRC front desk and Discovery Resource Center (DRC)
Provide information, referral, and guidance on M&FRC programs (e.g., relocation assistance, financial readiness, employment support, family life education, and transition assistance)
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments and classes, and direct customers to appropriate staff or resources
Assist clients with the use of DRC computers, printers, and other technology resources
Administrative & Program Support
Open and close the M&FRC front desk and DRC daily (equipment checks, inventory, housekeeping)
Maintain customer sign-in logs and input data into AFFIRST and other Air Force tracking systems
Support the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) by maintaining workshop rosters, materials, and required documentation
Assist with computer troubleshooting, job posting updates, and maintaining resource materials and literature racks
Perform clerical duties including printing, copying, collating, scanning, and preparing mailings
Maintain a neat, clean, and professional work environment
Additional Duties
Support and document M&FRC staff meetings, providing typed minutes within two business days
Provide quarterly instructional classes on basic computer and Microsoft Office software, including some evening sessions
Issue program vouchers or coupons (e.g., Car Care) to qualified customers
Ensure compliance with Air Force standards for records management, privacy, and security
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operation of PC systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population in a professional, customer-focused environment
Knowledge of military family support systems and protocol preferred
Minimum of 12 credit hours in social sciences/social work OR prior experience in a Military & Family Readiness Center (preferred)
Ability to perform light lifting and maintain a clean, professional workspace
Must meet punctuality and attendance standards
