Hybrid Warehouse Team Member - Deep Eddy Vodka na Heaven Hill

What the Role Is 

The Warehouse Team Member will be responsible for loading, packing, auditing, cycle counts, general housekeeping, scanning orders and shipping/receiving functions at the Deep Eddy Production site. This position will require safe operation of a forklift. 

 How Will You Spend Your Time?  

• Perform general warehouse tasks and learn terminology important to the process. 
• Ability to utilize computers and scanning equipment. 
• Complete cycle counts throughout the shift.
• Clear communication with the Warehouse Manager to keep him abreast of any issues. 
• Inspect packages to ensure quality. 
• Clean area throughout and at end of each day. 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure packaging meets quality standards. 
• Organize work area using 5S techniques which include sweeping, mopping, cleaning, cataloging and maintaining the area. 
• Transfer cases weighing up to 50 pounds to keep production moving. 
• Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to disperse components and finished goods throughout work area. 
• Discard outdated or defective product. 
• Utilize compactors to bail cardboard. 
• Perform additional requests provided by Supervisor to guarantee efficiency. 

Who You Are… 

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a warehouse/manufacturing site is required 
• Keen eye for package quality requirements. 
• Work within the constructs of a team. 
• Excellent verbal communication skills with team members and Supervisor. 
• Schedule flexibility along with some weekend availability as required for overtime. 

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience: 

• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse environment

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to stand; climb stairs; walk; bend; kneel; squat; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have the ability to work 10-hour shifts.
