Our Hotels and Clubs:
Aethos currently operates seven properties and with more openings coming in 2025. The hotels in its portfolio currently includes Aethos Milan, Aethos Monterosa (located in the Italian Alps), Aethos Saragano (in Umbria), Aethos Sardinia, Aethos Corsica, Aethos Ericeira (north of Lisbon) and Aethos Mallorca.

Job Overview
Our receptionists aren’t just desk sitters — they’re storytellers, problem-solvers, and unofficial tour guides. They greet every guest like an old friend, remember the little details, and always find ways to elevate a stay from “nice” to “never-forget-it.” Whether it’s checking guests in and out with a smile, answering quirky last-minute questions, or juggling card payments like a pro, they keep things running smoothly.
With top-notch knowledge of our hotel, our neighbourhood, and our guests’ needs, our receptionists are the beating heart of Aethos — ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels looked after, valued, and maybe even a little spoiled.
Your tasks as a Receptionist will include but will not be limited to :
● To create a warm, welcoming and lasting impression for our guests.
● To provide a genuine, attentive, and friendly service to our guests to reflect our Aethos standards.
● To handle incoming enquiries swiftly regarding check in/check out times, room availability, hotels services.
● To deal with the arrival and departure processes for all guests, ensuring all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
● To have a good knowledge of Mews beneficial and ensure all guest information is captured.
● To carefully handle all necessary payments in line with department SOPs.
● To be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of guest billing, financial transactions and the Reception float.
● To maximize revenue by upselling hotel services including transportation, room category/breakfast upsells, F&B and Spa.
● To anticipate guest’s needs and provide them with a personalised, crafted experience.
● Collaborate with all other teams in the hotel, and all outsourced business partners to ensure the utmost satisfaction for our guests.
● To ensure compliance with standards of operation.
● To be an ambassador for Aethos as well as someone who embodies our values.

● Flexibility to react to changing requirements in a dynamic environment.
● Passion for hospitality – you’re all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues
● Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
● Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
● Previous Hotel Receptionist experience in a 5-star and/or lifestyle property.
● Excellent grooming standards.
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
● Competent level of IT proficiency.
● Fluent in written and spoken English.
● Knowledge of MEWS PMS and Unifocus is a plus.
