Description
Serve as Sr. Vice President & Chief Redevelopment Officer of a private, non-profit affordable homeownership business with reinvestment work touching over $1 billion annually in community impact. Serve as team member of senior managers administering a variety of public and private contracts and programs focused on redeveloping the Los Angeles region.
Responsibilities
- The successful individual would oversee construction management, mission-driven real estate services, property acquisitions, home rehabilitation services, and facilities management.
- Conduct site visits to properties to determine project feasibility for potential acquisitions or sales, helping to scale all redevelopment operations, including design and financing.
- Maintain working relationship with clients, architects, general contractors, real estate brokers, loan officers, appraisers, and title and escrow companies to ensure that accurate and timely services are provided.
- Familiar with environmental remediation techniques and practices, as well as fire resiliency methods.
- Provide leadership and supervision to departmental staff.
- Implement internal controls to ensure that contractual obligations are met in compliance with appropriate Federal and State regulations.
- Work with President on strategic planning and capital investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of regulations which affect the construction, real estate, and affordable home development industries, including building codes and zoning laws.
- Oversee facilities management for multiple corporate assets. Conduct and oversee lease negotiations for commercial space.
Requirements
- A current California Real Estate Brokers License, General Contractor’s license or the ability to obtain is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or other relevant field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a realtor, contractor or project manager required.
- Familiarity with all phases of construction, real estate and real estate project development and successful track record of completed projects.
- Experience with transactional real estate highly desirable.
- Experience with negotiation of government contracts and commercial leases highly desirable.
- Excellent writing, budget, computing, supervisory, and organizational skills are needed to manage budget, staff, program, and data tracking/reporting activities.
- Ability to oversee facilities management and repairs.
- Ability to meet or exceed production requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
