Join the newly established WHS function within Revenue NSW, supported by strong executive commitment and embedded in the Risk, Privacy, and Assurance Unit. You will collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to apply your WHS knowledge and expertise to ensure everyone goes home safe and well.
The
Opportunity
As a WHS Advisor, you will lead the
development and implementation of WHS strategies, action plans, and initiatives
that enhance workplace health and safety across Revenue NSW. Your role will be
critical in supporting senior leaders and people leaders to adopt proactive WHS
risk management practices and delivering tailored support for incident and
hazard follow-up.
You will be a key driver in fostering a
positive safety culture by promoting psychosocial and physical safety education
and awareness, coordinating WHS consultation processes, chairing the WHS
Committee, and managing organisation-wide WHS communications.
What You’ll
Do
- Lead the creation and execution of the WHS Strategy and action plans to improve safety outcomes across Revenue NSW.
- Support senior leaders and people leaders with proactive WHS risk management and incident/hazard follow-up.
- Champion a strong safety culture through education, awareness, and effective consultation.
- Coordinate and chair WHS Committee meetings and manage WHS communications across the organisation.
- Build and maintain strong, action-oriented relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage WHS projects and initiatives flexibly while ensuring
accountability and balancing stakeholder needs.

- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and people leaders to implement effective WHS initiatives.
- Ability to quickly understand complex environments, work with pace, and maintain stakeholder engagement.
- Strong project management skills with the flexibility to balance competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to develop practical WHS strategies, guidance, and advice.
- A pragmatic, solution-focused approach to WHS challenges.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
