The Opportunity

We are expanding our EY Indirect Tax Compliance team in the UK. This is a dynamic and varied role, assisting clients across a broad spectrum of sectors and countries to fulfil their compliance obligations. 

You’ll be at the forefront of supporting clients with their global indirect tax compliance, co-ordinating the right team to ensure an exceptional service is provided to our clients. You will also be involved in the growth of our business and help to lead on go-to-market initiatives. You will be working with a wide range of tax professionals in other countries, and play a key client-facing role, taking responsibility for managing your own client relationships and portfolios. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process efficiencies and the development of the team, in addition to the growth of the business.

About You

You are a highly motivated and experienced tax professional with a strong background in UK and multi-country indirect tax compliance.  You are well organised, thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to lead and co-ordinate complex indirect tax compliance portfolios. You will also have a passion for people development and a keenness to contribute to the strategic growth of the compliance business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality indirect tax compliance services to clients.
• Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor team members to support their development.
• Collaborate across EY service lines on large-scale projects.
• Contribute to team strategy and operations, including recruitment and training.
• Drive business development and identify opportunities for growth.

Client Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead business development efforts and convert opportunities into engagements.
• Ensure compliance with EY’s quality and risk management standards.
• Collaborate with other EY teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in indirect tax compliance across multiple countries.
• ACA/ACCA/CA, CTA, or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong business development and client engagement skills.
