Overview
Dress for Success is a global not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success addresses every phase of a woman’s career—from being unemployed and job searching, to becoming recently employed and adjusting, to gainfully finding employment and succeeding.

This position supports the work of Dress for Success by maintaining the boutique inventory, staffing the boutique during open hours for students, and occasionally serving women in the boutique in the evenings by appointment.

This position is housed on campus at the Dress for Success Michiana boutique, inside Holy Cross Hall.  

Specific Responsibilities
Represent Dress for Success Michiana professionally at all times while on the phone, in person, and in the community
Distribute information to women requesting suiting appointments.
Assist women in navigating and completing the Appointment Request Form. Confirm that the Appointment Request Form has been completed before the appointment or walk-in happens.
Help women pick out professional business and interview apparel.
Complete the Clothing Distribution Form after every appointment, including walk-in appointments.
Maintain the inventory of clothing and accessories to keep the boutique’s appearance clean and orderly. 
Maintain the clothing racks & accessory shelves, ensuring that the type of garment and the sizes are grouped together, and in a neat and orderly appearance.
Regularly organize the bra drawers keeping sizes and styles together. 
Inventory the bra drawers bi-weekly, making note of sizes that are low and/or out of stock, and communicate that to the Executive Director. 
After the appointment has been completed, or when walk-in hours have closed, put all of the clothing that may have been left in the dressing room back onto the appropriate size clothing rack. This ensures a clean and tidy environment.
Communicate to the Executive Director when clothing sizes and types, accessories, or shoe inventory is low. 
Assist with the loading/unloading of inventory, and re-stocking of the racks and shelves.
Create outreach packets and/or swag bags.
Secure the inventory at the end of each day.
Attend weekly Community Engagement Leader meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Training

Qualifications
Ability to work as a team member with a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Familiar with Google sheets and forms.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Professional verbal and written skills.
Eligible for Federal Work Study/Community Service.

Preferred schedule
This is a flexible schedule, based upon the work assignment. Preferred availability is Monday through Saturday, primarily 3pm – 6pm, and on Saturdays 10am – 2pm. Hours can be adjusted based on student availability.

Benefits
Hourly rate of $9.00/hour

Conditions of Employment
All student employees (FWS or non FWS) are only allowed to work 8-10 hours a week between all on-campus positions.
Students who hold more than one on-campus position are required to inform their supervisor in order to prevent exceeding the maximum hours allowed to work.
All on-campus positions will be terminated in the spring semester on the last day of exams.
