Position Summary
Lead a branch team focused on delivering personalized financial solutions to improve the lives of our members. Oversee branch performance, staff development, and strategic initiatives to drive growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional member service. Develop relationships with members and within the community.
Essential Functions Include:
- Lead Others: Hire, supervise, train, mentor and motivate staff; manage scheduling and staffing needs. Support the team – share successes and remove barriers.
- Care for and Develop Talent: Work with employees to define and implement development opportunities. Monitor workloads, appreciate and recognize excellence.
- Demonstrate Business Acumen: Understand financial products (loans, mortgages, savings), budgeting, and interpret financial reports. Seek and implement industry’s best practices.
- Measure and Manage Work: Break work down into manageable steps and conduct performance evaluations, track performance against goals, and develop sales strategies. Engage in business development activities with the operating areas of the branch in efforts to grow membership and loan portfolio.
- Member Service Excellence: Build relationships, resolve member issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure operations meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Technology Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with credit union software, Microsoft Office, and digital tools used in financial services.
- Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, vault operations, and teller transactions.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily branch functions including cash handling, security and administrative tasks.
- Transaction Processing: Receives and processes member financial transactions with accuracy, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; provides money orders, official checks and cash advances. Processes ATM/Debit card order, direct deposit, wire transfers, stop payments and check orders.
- Loan Processing and Applications: Evaluate and process various types of loan applications. Obtain a NMLS number to be able to advise members and close mortgages/home equity loan products.
- Branch Appearance: Demonstrate immense pride in their branch by ensuring the interior and exterior of the branch are top level appearance in all aspects

Required Education and Experience:
- B.A. degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in a financial institution setting or equivalent experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and members both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook. Excellent technical aptitude.
- Must complete Medallion Signature Guarantee (STAMP) training and be an authorized representative of USF Credit Union.
- Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position does include some remote work.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally to life, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
