Job Profile
The City of Cambridge is looking for energetic Fitness Instructors to teach a variety of fitness classes such as Pilates, Strength Training, TRX, Barre, Boxercise, HIIT and or Personal Trainers.
Instructors will ensure participant experience is engaging, educational, safe and enjoyable experience in classes and programs.
What you will be doing
- Your primary function, with a focus on customer service, is to plan, organize and deliver high quality safe and stimulating lessons for all levels of participants while being vigilant and ready to respond to any emergency situation.
- You will keep current with industry trends and class format and complete administrative duties in a timely manner (e.g. attendance, incident/accident reports).
- It is important to maintain a safe and tidy program space ensuring equipment is set-up and stored appropriately; attend meetings and training as required; and, report any concerns or issues to your supervisor.
- Participate in all assigned mandatory staff training
Experience and Knowledge
- Certified by an accredited organization.
- One year of previous related experience.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Please note that applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Rate of pay
The hourly rate for this position will vary pending qualifications; however, will be within the range of $25.00 to $40.00.
Hours of work
Hours are dependent on the number of participants taking part in our programs; as such, there are no minimum hours associated with this position.
