Job Summary
The Administrator on Special Assignment (ASA), Level 2 – Equity, School Improvement Focus, serves as a strategic leader supporting HUSD’s commitment to equity, access, and academic excellence for all students. Working under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the AOSA provides leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of school improvement plans aligned to district goals, with a strong emphasis on closing opportunity gaps and improving outcomes for historically underserved student groups.
This role supports schools in implementing equity-centered practices, data-driven instruction, and evidence-based interventions. The AOSA collaborates with site leaders, district departments, and community stakeholders to promote culturally responsive systems that foster inclusive, high-performing school environments. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of equity in education, school transformation strategies, and systems leadership.
