Regional Automation Controls Specialist,

What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, train, and optimize performance of automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motion controls.
- Oversee design, programming, system upgrades, and execution of automation projects from start to finish.
- Work closely with vendors, mill teams, and stakeholders to implement advanced automation solutions.
- Maintain health, safety, and electrical standards while staying updated on industry trends and fostering team growth.
What You Offer
- Proficient in PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Software), VFDs, motor control, motion control systems, and Ethernet/IP networking.
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Automation and experience commissioning electrical equipment.
- Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC); knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics and various PLC platforms (e.g., Modicon, Omron).
- Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license,
access to a reliable vehicle with the ability to travel frequently
throughout the region.
Location: This role can be based in Timmins, Nairn Centre or Sudbury, Ontario.
