Your New Role
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising the performance, reliability, and scalability of our Azure cloud environment and its integration with on-premises systems. You'll be hands-on in administering Azure, supporting critical production systems, managing cloud usage and costs, and helping design resilient, high-availability solutions.
This role is central to ensuring operational excellence, enabling development teams, and maintaining a secure, efficient cloud platform that supports our growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and supporting scalable Azure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code
- Designing and implementing highly available and disaster recovery solutions in Azure to ensure system resilience
- Supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud resources
- Reviewing and approving infrastructure code deployments to production environments
- Collaborating with development teams to influence good infrastructure design and efficient usage
- Providing operational support and guidance to team members
- Contributing to solution design and architecture within the Azure cloud technology stack
We are looking for someone with:
- 5 + years of experience supporting on-prem Infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience supporting cloud base with a focus on Azure cloud
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket or similar
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, ARM or Azure Bicep templates
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive alignment
- Good time management and project management skills
