🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

• Implementing, configuring, and optimizing SolarWinds monitoring solutions across diverse IT environments (on-premise, hybrid, and cloud) to ensure seamless visibility and system performance.

• Designing scalable monitoring strategies using tools like NPM, SAM, NTA, and the Orion Platform to provide proactive alerting and infrastructure insights.

• Applying observability architecture best practices, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability to enhance operational excellence.

• Creating custom dashboards, reports, and alert configurations tailored to specific client requirements and SLAs.

• Integrating SolarWinds with third-party tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and PagerDuty via APIs and scripting (PowerShell, Python).

• Collaborating closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure full-stack monitoring coverage.

• Supporting client teams through training, documentation, and troubleshooting, acting as a trusted subject-matter expert.

✅ What You Need to Succeed

Must-haves

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining SolarWinds monitoring environments.

• Deep knowledge of SolarWinds Orion Platform modules: NPM, SAM, NTA, IPAM, and Alerting Engine.

• Proficiency with monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, Syslog.

• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Solid understanding of networking, system administration, and application performance metrics.

• Comfortable working with Windows Server and Linux, including remote diagnostics and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with SQL Server and building queries for custom reporting.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience integrating monitoring solutions with ITSM platforms and observability pipelines.

• Prior consulting or client-facing experience in enterprise IT environments.

• Knowledge of performance baselining and capacity planning strategies.

• Exposure to automation frameworks or CI/CD integrations within observability stacks.
