We are seeking an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Node.js, NestJS, AWS, and microservices architecture. You will play a crucial role in building a scalable product to support our rapidly growing customer base and ensure high performance and availability.
Main Resposibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
- Participate to scrum ceremonies (daily, planning, retro, etc.)
- Providing technical solutions
- Designing project architecture
- Design and implement high-availability and high-scalability microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly and efficiently.
- Optimise application performance for speed and scalability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains at the forefront
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Node.js and NestJS.
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Previous experience involving high-frequency APIs
- Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-based architectures, including services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Proven experience with microservices architecture.
- Proficient in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools, such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
- TypeScript programming
- Docker
- DDD, BDD, and TDD
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of security best practices in web application development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles (note: this is not a DevOps role).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English.
