Description
Sbarro is seeking a motivated and dependable Shift Lead to help lead our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In this role, you will support daily operations, guide team members, and help ensure every guest receives high-quality food and excellent service. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support team members during shifts to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
- Delegate tasks and help maintain productivity, teamwork, and positive morale
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally and quickly
- Ensure all food items meet Sbarro standards for quality, taste, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen, prep, and dining areas
- Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily shift procedures
- Support cash handling, register operations, and shift accountability
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and minimizing food waste
- Train and coach new and existing team members on company standards
- Ensure kitchen equipment is operating properly and report any issues to management
- Support management in achieving daily operational goals
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays preferred
