This position is 100% remote. No C2C.

The Hartford.com content team is looking for a content manager to help build web pages in a complex content management system. The role is for 32-40 hours a week for 6 months. The job is remote and requires high speed internet access from the United States.

The content manager will be primarily responsible for day-to-day content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com (HIG.com). This requires moving text from Word documents to a content management system and building pages with complicated templates. The ideal candidate is a well-organized and collaborative team player with basic HTML knowledge and excellent written communication skills. The content manager will need to work closely with other team members on Teams, Workfront, Outlook and other collaborate platforms. Attention to detail in the work is extremely important.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com and other related company websites
  • Input and manage text, images, and other content assets, using The Hartford s Content Management System (CMS)
  • Complete QA (quality assurance) of one s own work and the work of other content authors for errors and omissions.
  • Maintain high-quality web-site standards, such as content presentation, writing style, metadata, spelling and accessibility.
  • Meet with other content and marketing team members to understand objectives, digest requirements and track progress toward publishing goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months managing content on web sites
  • Bachelor s degree strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and technical guidelines for web sites
  • Experience using a robust Content Management System
  • Solid time management skills with ability to manage a range of deadlines.
  • Solid copy-editing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and as a part of a team is a must, including:
