Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior BI Developer with significant experience in the financial sector to join our team. This role involves developing and managing business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making and enhance financial analysis capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Azure Analysis Services, Azure DevOps, and SQL Data Warehousing, with the ability to work remotely from Portugal.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Azure Analysis Services and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in SSAS Tabular Model, DAX, and SQL Data Warehouse.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, particularly with Pivot Tables, and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and DAX Studio. Proven DW (Data Warehouse) design experience.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio 2015 (VSTS),
  • Tabular Editor, and SentryOne Plan Explorer.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement BI solutions tailored to financial sector requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data models and dashboards using Azure Analysis Services and Power BI.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and propose the best solutions.
  • Oversee data warehousing activities and ensure high performance and data accuracy.
  • Utilize tools like SSAS Tabular Model and DAX to optimize reporting and analysis processes.
  • Provide architectural vision and recommend changes to improve BI solutions and infrastructure.
  • Manage Azure resources, including subscriptions and resource groups.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based observability solutions, including log processing, monitoring, and introspection.
  • Knowledge of Azure API Management.
  • Experience in defining integration architectures in Azure and understanding Azure Event Hub.
  • Familiarity with cloud security architectures and AI technologies running on the cloud.
