CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – Cloud Application Operations opening for our client in Chicago, IL.
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 months
Duties:
Provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based applications, middleware, DevOps, infrastructure, and security environments.
Perform Level 1.5 remediation across the cloud fleet using standard workflows and incident handling processes.
Receive, record, and analyze incident information; determine appropriate actions and communicate solutions or action plans to clients.
Manage cloud elasticity, including auto-scaling resources and ensuring disaster recovery (DR) and redundancy failovers.
Support application services, APIs, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and middleware components.
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly integrated service management reports.
Work with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, IBM Control Desk, and Remedy.
Leverage automation tools including Rundeck and IBM Runbook Automation.
Apply ITIL practices in Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Level Management.
Monitor cloud environments using tools such as IBM APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Runscope, and Netcool OmniBus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, applications, and infrastructure.
Proficiency in DevOps, middleware, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Experience with ITIL processes and integrated service management.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, automation, and ticketing tools.
Ability to analyze incidents and perform root cause assessments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
Proven experience in cloud application operations, infrastructure support, and incident management.
Background in enterprise-scale cloud environments with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Experience with automation and monitoring solutions in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or AWS certifications are highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
