We are seeking a Product Development Coordinator to serve as a key link between the Art/Product Development team, internal departments, and external partners. From initiating projects and coordinating proofs to maintaining records and ensuring compliance with customer requirements, the Product Development Coordinator manages the full lifecycle of packaging artwork with precision and attention to detail. 


Product Development Coordinator

  • Initiate and manage the Working Special process, including project number assignment, data entry, artist coordination, and project updates.
  • Coordinate with retail customers, third-party graphics vendors, and customer graphic houses to develop account-specific and Private Label packaging/PDQs.
  • Oversee the art proofing process, ensuring timely internal approvals, communicating changes/approvals to vendors, and archiving all proofs, correspondence, and flat art files for Sales.
  • Prepare and fulfill sample requests by coordinating with artists, Purchasing, and external vendors; manage supply levels and maintain accurate logs.
  • Manage purchase orders by reviewing and distributing to artists, notifying vendors, and coordinating with Runbook and Purchasing for new component numbers or revisions.
  • Process invoices by coding items and routing them to the Director of Marketing for review and approval.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product development coordination, packaging, print production, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of preparing files for print, including proof review, color accuracy, formatting, and vendor print specifications.
  • Strong customer service and vendor relationship management skills; able to communicate professionally and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience coordinating artwork and packaging projects from concept through final approval.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphics software preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems or project tracking software a plus.
  • Familiarity with print press operations or packaging mockup production preferred.
