Job Information

This position entails the effective procurement of commodities used in the manufacturing or sales of Doosan Bobcat products. Commodities may include raw materials (such as steel), finished components (such as hydraulic planers), or indirect. 


This individual will be tasked to manage tactical data to support commodities.


The position will also maintain assigned accounts required to meet Doosan Bobcat’s requirements.

Role & Responsibility

Supply Management:

  • Advise Category Leader and/or Manager of any potential major supplier problems that could adversely affect supply of components.
  • Review and create purchase orders with accuracy.
  • Maintain accuracy of purchase orders on systems (part number and price)
  • Maintain data integrity in all purchasing systems and files.
  • Foster relationships with assigned suppliers and internal stakeholders - Demonstrate proactive initiative in identifying and addressing team needs.  

Strategy:

  • Support development of and facilitate the implementation of supply strategies to achieve ongoing cost, quality, and delivery improvement.

Project Support:

  • Submit and support projects for assigned suppliers. 
  • Lead smaller projects as assigned.

General Knowledge & Skills:

  • Able to perform RFQ's and data integrity with little to no support.
  • Demonstrate ability to work autonomously.
  • Able to manage cross functional activity and manage assigned suppliers. 
  • Can facilitate building business cases, aggregating forecast trends data into actionable plans.
  • Independently manage tasks and drive projects and initiatives to deliver substantial results. 

Communication/Soft Skills:

  • Build strong value adding relationships with supplier, internal customers, and cross functional departments.
  • Provide forecast and schedules to suppliers as required.
  • Able to report business updates and supplier performance to management.

Job Requirement

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Equivalent education and/or experience allowed. 
  • ~2+years’ experience. 
  • Ability to assess the economic impacts of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit costs. 
  • PC Skills, Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Less than 25% travel required.
