Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-time Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Collections Operation West, Vancouver Oak St and Vancouver Mobile team.
The Collections team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will assist in the collection of blood and blood products ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and all required documentation is carried out. You will play an integral part in building and promoting a positive donor experience and encouraging donations.
This position works a three-week rotation schedule out of Oak Street (Whole Blood and Apheresis) and Vancouver Mobiles. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday Oak Street 1045-1845, Saturday Oak Street 0745-1545. Week 2: Monday, Tuesday Oak Street 1045-1845; Friday Van Mobiles 1145-1945, Saturday Van Mobiles 0945-1745. Week 2: Wednesday to Friday Oak Street 1045-1845 (Wednesday), 0745-1545 (Thursday & Friday)
Rest days rotate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
