The role
Join our high-performing GPT Technology team as an Infrastructure Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the core infrastructure platforms and services that power our business. This generalist role is essential to maintaining the stability, resilience, and scalability of our technology environment, with a primary focus on network and server infrastructure. You’ll work across a broad range of systems—including cloud, endpoint management, and collaboration tools—providing day-to-day operational support and contributing to strategic infrastructure initiatives. What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities:
The principal tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Providing operational support across the HPE Aruba switching and wireless stacks, including switch and access point provisioning and troubleshooting
- Assisting with the management of Fortinet firewalls and SD-WAN configuration and support tasks
- Maintaining and support enterprise backup systems (e.g., NetBackup, Commvault) and associated processes
- Providing DNS and domain registration support (AWS Route 53)
- General AWS EC2 platform support
- Package and test applications within Microsoft Intune; assist in Windows update and secure baseline deployments
- Supporting basic Microsoft Exchange administration (on-prem and online)
- Providing general infrastructure support for onboarding new sites and technology services
- Maintaining SOPs, documentation, and process knowledge across supported platforms
- Engaging with vendors and partners on BAU issues and escalated technical incidents
- Assisting in responses for audits, compliance checks, and licensing reviews
What makes you stand out
- 5-10 years’ experience in a generalist infrastructure role, with experience supporting enterprise network platforms preferred
- Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba switching and wireless technologies
- Exposure to Fortinet firewall and SD-WAN solutions strongly desirable
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and backup technologies
- Industry certification in networking and cloud platforms is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Intune, M365, Azure AD, and AWS platforms
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability in structuring and executing infrastructure projects
- Understanding of ITIL principles for Incident, Change, and Problem Management
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills across all levels of the organisation
