Senior Java Full Stack Developer - Onsite

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in both frontend and backend technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Angular (or React), Java, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms. This role requires a solid understanding of software engineering principles, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Location: Sunnyvale - CA USA - Onsite

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full stack applications using Angular (or React) for frontend and Java/Spring Boot for backend.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability across the application stack.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across frontend and backend layers.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure software reliability.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure secure coding practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in full stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular (or React), Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working in hybrid or remote teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Annual Salary: $97k  – $114k  (based on experience and qualifications)

Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and company policy.
