EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Waste Water Recycling team have a great opportunity for you to join as our new Shift Operational Technician located at Strongford sewage treatment works – located in Stoke on Trent. The role will be to safely operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment and it’s not just about operating a sewerage plant and equipment, you’ll protect and enhance our regions environment, whilst providing an essential service to the community.
With support and training you’ll become part of a team of experts who are at the front line of enhancing our regions rivers. Day to day you’ll be responsible for making sure our treatment processes are working optimally to deliver this important work. But don’t worry there will be plenty of people on hand to support and come up with solutions to help you succeed. We’ll also welcome your ideas and a new mindset to continually improve what we do on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a shift pattern. This will be a 7 day pattern of Mornings (6am-2pm), Afternoons (2-10pm), Nights (10pm-6am) and Days, with generous time off between patterns.
Any additional technical training required will also be covered. This role offers the opportunity to progress through a competency framework, the starting salary is £32,088 with the shift allowance being approximately £5,771 and £6900 for weekend working.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
You must live within 45 minutes of Strongford.
Having experience in Wastewater Treatment or Sludge Treatment process knowledge would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be required to achieve the qualification Level 2 – Waste Water Process Operator as part of their which will be delivered by our Academy. A full UK driving licence would be essential.
