The Director of Nonpublic School Services oversees, coordinates, develops and implements all nonpublic school services programs, as contracted by local districts, including, but not limited to state and federal programs including:

POSITION: Anticipated Director of Non-Public Services Twelve (12) Month Position
SCHOOL/PROGRAM: Educational Services Commission of New Jersey - Non-Public Services
START DATE: Janurary 1, 2026 - Pending Criminal History Clearance
Knowledge of state and federal nonpublic school pupil services and programs
Knowledge of successful experience in administration and supervisory position
Knowledge of federal and state law, regulations and procedures pursuant to handicapped and nonpublic services and programs
Knowledge and evidence of experience in curriculum development and instruction in remedial education and special education
Experience in program design and development of models for remedial and regular educational experiences
Evidence of experience in computer assisted instruction (CAI), student management and office operation
Experience in special education and/or child study team and possess a valid appropriate certificate
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Commission may find appropriate and acceptable
SCOPE: The Director of Nonpublic School Services reports to the Superintendent. The Director develops and implements all nonpublic school services programs, as contracted by local districts, including, but not limited to state and federal programs including:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development, design and implementation, pursuant to federal and state laws of programs and services, to implement all nonpublic school services and programs, provided by the Commission
Recruitment, staffing, assignment and evaluation of instructional and child study team personnel, nursing and support personnel services, needed to implement the nonpublic services and programs
Design effective delivery system, responsible for the observation, evaluation, supervision of all staff required for the implementation of the services and programs at the highest standards
Development and adjustment of staffing assignments and instructional schedules, pursuant to funding, providing the maximum level of direct service at the highest standard of implementation
Assure that all instructional facilities (trailers and vans) are clean and maintained, and repaired timely, for the use by staff
Responsible for the identification, analysis and development of staff development programs, addressing staff needs, based on staff input and addressing student needs for improving achievement
Maintain and inventory the instructional material/equipment center with supplies, assessment materials, instruction and equipment materials appropriate for both the instructional and diagnostic requirements of the program/services provided
Develop and maintain accurate records on eligible students participating, pursuant to federal and state requirements
Prepare end of year reporting forms for all services and programs provided, maintaining the student management and budgeting aspect

Provide reports, as required and timely, to state and federal authorities, nonpublic school administrators, resident district, sending district and maintain as Commission records
Develop programs of information and dissemination to meet the needs of nonpublic school administrators, public school administrators, parents and guardians of students participating in nonpublic school services
Assure the ongoing daily deliver of service conforms and meets to state and federal code
Prepare all monitoring procedures, including report requirements of both state and federal government of nonpublic school programs, the responsibility of local public school districts
Keep abreast of new approaches, methods, research what contributes to improvement of student services/programs
Participate in professional organizations and activities which constitutes to professional growth
Monitor budget to assure high level and amount for students, meeting state of the art information on effective programs
Other responsibilities as delegated by the Superintendent
BENEFITS: Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Pension system enrollment varies by position and certification. Vacation, Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included
MINIMUM SALARY: $130,000
