The Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Supervisor (SCS) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the use of the weight room and related kinesiology spaces for Pentucket Regional Middle High School students and student-athletes/teams. This position plays a key role in supporting the positive physical, mental and psychological development of students through structured strength and conditioning opportunities with some nutritional guidance. The SCS will collaborate with coaches and wellness staff to ensure scheduled, safe, and developmentally appropriate use of facilities, including activities such as weight training, stretching, yoga, etc.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, kinesiology, exercise science, strength and conditioning, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
2. Experience working with student-athletes and/or school-aged children
3. Strong organizational and communication skills
4. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, coaches, and students
   CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact for students using the facility; foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
• Promote safe practices and monitor compliance with school expectations and athletic department guidelines
• Collaborate regularly with the Athletic Director
• Communicate regularly with middle school wellness teachers to incorporate opportunities for middle school students
• Oversee weight room supervisors and ensure appropriate and safe use of equipment and space
• Monitor tracking software for student success
• Supervise and monitor strength and conditioning sessions; ensure athletes are following proper protocols and team schedules
• Develop and manage a weekly weight room schedule for high school and middle school sports teams
• Collaborate with coaches to support strength and conditioning programs aligned with team goals
• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment and assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of kinesiology spaces
• Report directly to the building principal

Compensation:  $30,000.00 annually

Schedule:

• Part-time, full-year position (July 1 through June 30)
• 15 hours per week 
• Anticipated schedule: 2:15 p.m.-5:15 p.m. during school days; TBD for vacation weeks/summer
• Schedule to be determined in coordination with the Athletic Director and Principal
