Connecting Top Talent with Their Next Big Opportunity.  This is a full-time recruiting position on day shift.  The perfect candidate will work Monday thru Friday and some weekends from 8a-5p.  The hours may vary depending on the demand of the position. 


 Summary 

Assists hiring personnel in the hiring process by sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews and orientation, maintaining records and other clerical duties to support the Human Resources Department. 

  

Duties and Responsibilities  

Essential Functions

  • Sources applicants by networking, researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media sources, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Conducts interviews and filters candidates for open positions. Works closely with hiring managers to ensure staffing needs are met. 
  • Assists applicants with the completion of applications and other employment paperwork. Conducts new hire orientation and oversees other onboarding procedures. 
  • Sends timely reports and other needed information on new hires to outside agencies as requested. 
  • Completes e-Verify on each new hire and rehire. Provides information and follow-up forms to those who are not confirmed initially. Notifies supervisor about initial non-confirmations and final non-confirmations. Keeps records on all e-Verify results.
  • Develops and tracks goals for the recruiting and hiring process. 
  • Translates as needed (both verbal and written) preferred
  • Provides customer service to employees by answering questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee information including but not limited to employment paperwork and personnel files. 
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Follows safety rules and company policies.

Other Duties

  • Assists with planning and implementing employee functions such as the Christmas luncheon, retirement celebrations and employee meetings.
  • Assists Hiring and Benefits Supervisor with monthly insurance set-ups, bi-annual Profit-Sharing set-ups, annual revision of insurance benefits as needed, etc.
  • Drives own or company vehicle in performance of some job tasks.
  • May occasionally provide transportation to workers comp doctor visits.
  • Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
  • Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.

  Work Environment

Usual office working conditions. Access to CONFIDENTIAL DATA (ex. wages, costs, financial reports, and other confidential records). 

Requirements

  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a similar or relevant role within a manufacturing environment
  • High school plus additional training 
  • Intermediate computer skills and hands on experience with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) such as Kronos Workforce 
  • Valid driver’s license for performance of certain job tasks

Preferred:

Bilingual (ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English and Spanish)

Physical Demands
