Job purpose

The Project Support Officer (“PSO”) operates as an embedded PMO within the Project Management

Team, supporting the delivery of a broad range of technology projects / programs. The roles key

objectives are:

· Supporting the delivery team to ensure projects are delivered with ongoing adherence to the

Pegasus governance framework and wider ePMO governance standards.

· Championing ongoing alignment with project delivery quality & consistency standards and

ways of working.

· Supporting PSO leadership with the identification and rollout of Project Management

Continuous Improvements and knowledge sharing.

 

Responsibilities

 

The PSO will support the successful delivery of the project and/or program, supporting PSO Leadership and Project/Program Managers with activity including but not limited to:

· Ensuring defined project governance standards are adhered to

· Creating and / or coordinating the creation of high-quality governance meeting materials.

· Meeting secretariat (scheduling, pack production and producing high quality minutes.

· Action follow-up (including working with 3rd parties)

· Management Reporting, including the production and quality assurance of status reports.

· RAID Log maintenance and analysis for project Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies

· Project Plan maintenance and analysis.

· Document preparation and control, version control and record keeping.

· Quality review of key governance artefacts.

· Management of project and program stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

· Assisting in Project Audits from key control / 2nd line of defense / 3rd line of defense stakeholders

Experience / Qualifications / Soft Skills

 

Project / Program Support

 

Essential

· At least 4 years hands-on PMO / Project Support experience.

· Proven experience supporting major programs, preferably requiring interaction with regulators,

either from a policy or supervisory perspective.

· Proficient with project tools including but not limited to MS Office suite, MS Project, Sharepoint

and Enterprise PPM tools (e.g. Planview PPMPro)

Desirable

· PMO certified (e.g. P3O foundation/practitioner)

· Project management certified (e.g. Prince2, PMI, APM etc.)

 

General

 

Essential

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to prioritise multiple/changing priorities to meet deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.

· Proven organizational skills.

· Professional presentation skills, including excellent public speaking capabilities.

· Ability to own and drive a new piece of work / analysis from start to finish.

· Ability to lead / influence where necessary. (e.g. individual / group setting)

· Strong proficiency using Microsoft: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

· Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

 

Desirable

· Previous experience working within a highly regulated industry.

· Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and FX.

· Previous experience supporting Infrastructure, app, dev or other Technology driven Projects.
