General Summary: Create, edit, proof, and print blue prints for custom HVAC units using AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Plotter. Work closely with Xetex’s Engineer Team and Production to stay on top of deadlines.

• Layout of HVAC Units using AutoCAD
• Work closely with Xetex’s Engineers to receive blue prints for upcoming jobs
• Proof and edit blue prints based on original drawings and feedback from production
• Create parts to be made in the sheet metal fabrication department
• Assist with answering incoming phone calls
• Attend and lead weekly meetings in the sheet metal and CAD department
• Work directly with engineering, production, and outside suppliers to tackle issues
• Understanding of all mechanical design drafting practices, including full compliance with ASME and GD&T standards

Requirements

• Technical Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Design, or Engineering
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Solidworks experience preferred
• Ability to work under deadlines and with minimal supervision
• Design experience with sheet metal and fabrication a plus
• Must be responsible, personable, and have a good work ethic
• Detail-oriented, ability to plan, organize, set priorities and manage multiple projects
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, like using Excel to create charts and perform mathematical calculations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Minimal travel, based on business needs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb
