What You Will Do - Position Summary:

As the Senior Manager, Product & Design, you will be responsible for creating a clearly defined strategy for the development and execution of new and on-trend consumer products, as well as enhancing the current product lines in partnership with Horticulture, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, and Finance to satisfy all company’s objectives. Possessing both creative and technical design abilities, you will take a hands-on role in leading the design concept and product development of a wide variety of decorative components and packaging across multiple product categories for the company’s proprietary brands and exclusive private label partnerships. 

You will champion projects, manage design execution directly or through outside agencies, and support cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market delivery. This includes rolling up your sleeves to translate consumer trends into actionable design concepts while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned product category and the full product lifecycle.

Business travel 20% required, both foreign and domestic.

Essential Functions 

• Develop and execute product design strategies, product development projects, and go-to-market initiatives for Rocket Farms, Inc.
• Drive innovation and consumer relevance into product offerings with a hands-on approach to design and a keen eye for current trends to maximize customer performance across retail channels and consumer touchpoints.
• Execute design concepts with vendors and suppliers and ensure timely execution of high-quality products within budget.
• Translate trend insights into design concepts, executing directly or by directing outside vendors and agencies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products within budget. 
• Guide the creative direction of social media content and collaborate on online selling platforms by contributing design input and ensuring trend relevance and brand consistency.
• Support Sales in customer meetings, present design concepts, and interface with customers on private label program development and execution.
• Manage the design and execution of trade show booths, customer events, and related collateral, ensuring cohesive brand presentation and effective customer engagement. 
• Gather and analyze market data from trade shows, associations, and competitive analysis, integrating findings into product strategies, campaigns, and offerings.

Requirements

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development and design within consumer packaged goods, horticulture, home décor, or a closely related industry.
• Proven ability to manage projects, vendors, and agencies to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable creating hands-on design concepts as well as directing outside resources. 
• Photo editing and Photoshop skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with social media and e-commerce platforms; ability to provide creative input and partner with cross-functional teams or external vendors on content development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Rocket Farms in customer meetings and at trade shows.
• Creative, trend-driven mindset with a passion for consumer products, home décor, and plants.
• Business travel ~20%.

Compensation: $124,800  - $164,800 

The salary range provided reflects the lowest to highest amount we reasonably anticipate paying for this position at the time of posting, and it is further determined by factors such as candidate location and skillset, current labor market conditions, current minimum wage in the area, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and additional business needs. 

It is not typical for a new hire to be offered the highest end of the salary range. Pay decisions are made based on the unique circumstances of each candidate and position. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and other benefits to eligible employees. 

Physical Requirements  

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
