We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to work with our back-end services, some front-end development, and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic as well as helping move our code from a mixture of front-end/back-end combination to a true separate PHP back-end service. You will also be required to maintain the code to interact with the system databases and respond to requests from front-end developers.

To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. Ultimately, a top-level PHP Developer can design and build efficient PHP modules while seamlessly integrating front-end technologies. You will also need the ability to work with an extended remote team and attend daily meetings. Strong communication skills, a desire to learn difficult business rules, and self-motivation are a must.

Responsibilities

Design and implement software architecture for critical new products and new feature sets
Develop and deploy new features
Write “clean”, well-designed code
Troubleshoot and optimize the core product software and database
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Follow industry best practices as well as company programming policies and standard
Work closely with engineering, QA, design, and product teams
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team

Requirements

Proven software development experience in PHP (5+ years)
Deep Understanding of PHP frameworks, object oriented programming, and MVC
Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJA
Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and developing web services
Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment
Willingness and ability to own key parts of the product, end-to-end
Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques
Leadership and mentorship skills for development teams
Design experience in breaking down roadmap epics into designs that can be implemented by small teams of developers
Excellent english written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present complicated concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and nontechnical audiences
