Microwave Techniques is searching for a CNC Machinist in our Gorham, Maine location!
What will you do in this role?
- Operate CNC machines by utilizing set up sheets, blueprints, and materials
- Set tool registers, offsets, and calculation requirements
- Verify settings by measuring first run parts, including checking samples
- Create parts in accordance with customers specific requirements
- Properly set up and calibrate the CNC machine for each project
- Be dedicated to focus on accuracy to produce quality parts
- Take responsibility for ownership of routine and CNC machine maintenance and proper recordkeeping of maintenance activities

What do you need to be successful?
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines, including set up and machine troubleshooting
- Completion of a vocational program and/or Associates degree in a related field preferred
- The ability to interpret and understand set up instructions, blueprints, and documents to meet client expectations
- Mechanical aptitude of technical and functional terms, techniques, and processes
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high quality components
- Initiative and proactive, positive, and forward-thinking mindset

Machinist will have their own tools to use in the workplace, including basic measuring and hand tools.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Safety shoe glasses are required on the production floor.
