Your work environment at EXP

EXP is searching for an entry level Data Scientist with a background in transportation planning to join a well-established but growing group that provides program management support for the most interesting infrastructure-related projects in South Florida. Our clients are typically private sector and governmental entities who need help with consulting for the development of infrastructure projects. Our client's solutions often start with our research results. The position could support our clients in-house for staff augmentation.
 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Support for client projects including staff project assignments and professional guidance
• Potential Support for Staff Augmentation
• Provide solutions to senior staff 
• Ensure project goals and deadlines are met
• Provide economic analysis for Transportation Projects
• Support with policy planning
• In House Support when needed

The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, political science, civil engineering, or related field
• Master of Science in Data Analytics or related field

Preferred:

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, Qualtrics, R, Latex and STATA, SQL
• Experience with Machine Learning Models
• Experience with use of GIS software and datasets
• Good writing skills
• Technical experience Data Visualization
• Excellent oral communication and organizational skills (Spanish, English)
• Excellent data management and quantitative skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience providing quality and providing objective analysis and attention to detail
