That’s where you come in! We’re looking for a collaborative organizational builder to lead a team of software/data engineers. You have a strong inclination to work in rapidly developing and expanding organizations and possess the necessary background to do so. You are well-acquainted with the fast-paced, high-volume, and uncertain nature of operations in the organization, and perceive it as a chance to deliver significant outcomes. What You'll Do:

• Work closely across engineering and product to enable the team to deliver high-impact functionality and hit dates committed to on the roadmap
• Coach and work closely with engineers to empower them to be the best versions of themselves. You will need to find the right balance between creating the space for them to do their best work and coaching and developing new skills
• Set clear goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews effectively
• Identify, attract, and hire top engineering talent and onboard new engineers
• Improve our delivery processes to increase the accuracy of estimation, reliability of delivery, and velocity of execution
• Create a culture of excellence, foster innovation, and ensure team members have the resources and support to succeed
• Help manage and create vendor relationships that enable the engineering team to deliver quality software quickly
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across different departments, effectively communicating progress and addressing concerns
• Learn and apply knowledge about the drug discount space, and become a subject matter expert for internal teams to draw upon

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field
• 10+ years experience as a Software Engineer in a professional full-time role
• 7+ years experience leading an engineering team
• Experience leading recruiting initiatives, as well as growing and organizing engineering teams.
• Understand and design for non-functional concerns such as performance, cost optimization, and maintainability
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for requirements analysis, debugging, and risk assessment
• Ability to learn new technologies and work in various components across the full tech stack 
• 5+ years of experience and an advanced knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks (React/Redux/Python/MS .Net/Node preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python or similar scripting languages
• Strong data modeling experience (understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and other database types along with relational modeling)
• 5+ years of experience event-driven platforms
• 5+ years of experience with tools like DBT and Snowflake
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Azure preferred)
• 6+ years of experience with Container Applications (Docker)

Set Yourself Apart:

• Experience leading teams at startups or other fast-growing organizations
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries 
• Experience building ETL pipelines and other services for the healthcare industry

Expected Salary Range: $175,000 - $215,000 base + bonus

This is a hybrid role based out of Chicago, IL or Boston, MA.
