Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced fixed asset accountant to execute operational accounting procedures related to the firm's technology fixed assets and corporate properties construction accounting processes.
In this role, you will:
Review and process fixed asset transactions for technology and corporate properties line of businesses according to GAAP and internal policy
Act as a Consultant for fixed asset accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions
Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information, and research
Provide data for preparing and reviewing journal entries and other financial transactions
Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control functions in accordance with the company's internal controls policies
Identify opportunities for improvements, efficient and effective controls over fixed asset accounting data in addition to projects focused on enhancing and simplifying operational accounting processes
Provide work guidance or mentorship to other peers
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting, GAAP and Tax
Experience with international currency transactions and currency translation
Experience with multiple entities, including cross entity activities
Strong analytical thinking to solve complex problems, ability to understand details as well as the big picture and how they relate
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including Macros, Visual Basic (VBA), Pivot Tables, and Charts
Strong technical skills in pulling, analyzing, and summarizing large amounts of data
Experience in analyzing data using tools like SQL, Alteryx, and Power BI
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizations, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Fixed Asset accounting.
Job Expectations:
Work Hybrid schedule in one of the locations listed
