What You’ll Do

  • Act as the overarching technical product owner within the Group, partner with Engineering and collaborate with users, stakeholders and product owners across Telstra to align your technical capability vision with the Group and Telstra’s strategic priorities, so that it drives and continually improves modular, reusable technical capabilities and components.

  • Actively manage the end-to-end development, delivery, execution, integration requirements and lifecycle management and optimization of technology products and services to enable risks, issues, dependencies, timeline and costs to be managed.

  • Collaborate with the team, stakeholders and mission product owners to discover usability concerns and functional gaps and generating insights that uncover feature enhancement solutions.

  • Lead the definition, management and scheduling of work to manage the operational lifecycle of the technical capability and applications, including support, maintenance and capacity planning.

  • Partner with engineering in the deployment and execution of operational and business acceptance activity, including managing post-deployment issues from root cause analysis through to resolution.            

  • Lead the identification and management of unit cost reduction opportunities, including managing any technology vendors’ design, development, delivery and operation, to continuously improve productivity and cost to operate.

  • Collaborate to shape and influence culture of transparency by producing data to demonstrate and track delivery achievements and concerns, operational performance and health, and providing input to the wider team for capability performance, growth and learning.

  • Develop and champion business cases and funding bids to enable the team to maintain operational performance and deliver their work, and ensure the team operates within its budget constraints.

  • Foster a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team and assist the team to implement effective fit for purpose development and operational practices
