Job Description Summary:
• Responsible as Software Bench Architect for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle applications involving Inverters, Motors, Batteries, E-Transmission & other BEV Components on a Low Voltage HILs.
• Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary product development and testing teams working on projects involving multiple locations.
Key Responsibility:
- Architecting Bench technology used to simulate the overall system/vehicle
- Design, develop, source, & build/deploy all CAN, Instrumentation tools, & serial data protocols
- Defining & procuring bench harnesses and bench infrastructure as the HW & SW changes
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of WIKI pages for all benches, so all project team members have the needed information at a common location
- Remote access infrastructure for all benches
- Interface and support Software Design, Software Test Leads/ Engineers, and Test Automation Engineers
- Participate in all bench-level issues / troubleshooting expert for all projects (noise, license issues, etc)
- Participate in technical discussion with suppliers of simulation HW and SW for all benches, specifically SW and Motor Simulation Benches( for example, NI/OpalRT, dSPACE , Typhoon HIL)
- Driving common bench solution across sites within BorgWarner
Work Experience/Skills:
- Knowledge of Microcontroller hardware, Motors, Automotive electronics, and Electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of HIL Simulator – dSPACE/ETAS Labcar/NI cRIO/NI PXI/Vector VT Systems etc..
- Knowledge of serial data protocols like CAN FD, LIN & Flexray Protocols
- Knowledge of Instrumentation tools – ETAS INCA/CANape etc..
- Knowledge of NI Labview coding including FPGA, GUI Development and Veristand.
- Basic understanding of MATLAB Simulink/Simscape Models and experience with HIL Simulink model development.
- Certification on NI CLAD / CAD / CLA
- Domain Expertise in Electric Drives/ Transmission systems / Battery Management System / Vehicle Dynamics
- Expertise in Closed loop simulation of Motors & other EV components in the HIL environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high intercultural social competence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically and Agile in approach.
- Good analytical and problem-solving capability.
