About the Role
You are not just any tester- you are deeply involved in every phase of the software development life cycle, from refinements to deployments. With a keen eye for detail, you thrive in understanding highly configurable and complex systems. Your goal is to become an expert in how our system behaves and how it is built. You relentlessly push for improvements in quality, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. You are opinionated about testing practices, understanding the differences and appropriate applications of unit tests, contract tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, and manual tests. You aspire to take our existing QA strategies to the next level, enhancing our overall system quality.
Your Mission at Fourthline
As a QA Engineer focused on automation, your mission will include:
- Developing test plans and test cases based on business requirements of functional and non-functional specifications.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests (for frontend, backend and ML based services).
- Writing and delivering clear QA documentation.
- Designing and implementing automated test frameworks and test suites that ensure the highest levels of quality and automation.
- Utilizing tools like Selenium, Gherkin/SpecFlow, and Mockserver for comprehensive automated testing across our .NET, Python and Angular based architecture.
- Working with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, contributing to seamless and efficient deployment processes.
- Working closely with backend and platform engineers during all stages of the software development life cycle to refine and enhance software delivery and deployment practices.
- Implementing performance testing using tools like k6, ensuring our systems are not only functional but highly performant and scalable under load.
- Engaging deeply with code written in C#, utilizing Visual Studio/VSCode to maintain and improve test suites.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in C# and familiarity with .NET technologies, including web-based frameworks.
- Extensive experience with automated testing tools such as Gherkin/SpecFlow and Selenium.
- Skilled in performance testing with tools like k6.
- Experience with Docker, AWS ECS (or Azure/GCP equivalents), and an understanding of autoscaling policies with Terraform.
- Proven ability to manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Using Jira/Confluence for test planning and automation.
- A strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
