About Us

Platform engineering is revolutionizing how enterprises build and run their cloud-native setups, and Humanitec is at the forefront of this transformation. We empower teams to create Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and achieve true developer self-service. Through our community-driven initiatives (platformengineering.org, PlatformCon) and a growing list of enterprise customers, we are experiencing a surge in the adoption of IDPs. To meet this increasing demand, we are expanding our team.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead a product that is central to a company's Platform Engineering initiative. If you are passionate about significantly improving the experience of building and operating cloud-native applications, we want to hear from you.

About The Role

As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the development and operation of cloud-native applications. You should possess hands-on software development experience and be well-versed in cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform. You will define user stories for technical personas, discuss implementation details with engineers, contribute to UX design, and collaborate with marketing and sales to support our go-to-market strategy.

This is a fully remote position, and we work with senior engineers in small, agile, and self-organized teams. Preferred time zones for this role are UTC-1 to UTC+3.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in building or shipping technical products.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a product management role.
  • Proven experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving product vision, defining go-to-market strategies, and leading design discussions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies, including DevOps tools.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally, previous software development experience or similar hands-on technical experience.
  • Ability to work remotely within the UTC-1 to UTC+3 time zones (EMEA).

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute complex short- and long-term strategies with significant impact across the team.
  • Generate high-level insights from formative research, identify market gaps, and leverage cutting-edge technical insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to determine the best technical implementation methods and realistic implementation schedules.
  • Understand customer needs, gather product requirements, and identify market opportunities.
  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy, ensuring a coherent and comprehensive approach.

We look forward to reviewing your application. However, if you have any questions before applying, please email [email protected]
