Job Description

The Marketing Operations and Content AVP is responsible for managing the Global Marketing Operations, Writing Center of Excellence (WCoE), Creative Services and Localization across Agilent. These teams are responsible and accountable for the successful development and delivery of content, including language content, and for the strategic direction, governance and performance of writing, creative services, localization and marketing operations functions and their associated infrastructure. The position offers the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, people management, business, content marketing, and communication skills by leading a high-performance team dedicated to customer-centric content strategy and delivery, operational excellence, efficiency, agility, and an enhanced customer experience.

The successful candidate must have proven management experience, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excellent project management skills, deep Agilent domain knowledge, and the proven ability to collaborate and engage with management and key stakeholders cross-functionally.

The Marketing Operations and Content AVP will report to the Segment & Content Marketing leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the team’s content strategy, ensuring development of all marketing content elements on time and budget, and the development of strategies to monitor and iterate content quality
  • Lead team to design, test and iterate marketing content for performance using a foundation of customer-centric content marketing. Foster innovation and creativity to ensure impactful, high achieving marketing content delivery
  • Accountable for the deliverables, performance, and outcomes of the Global Marketing Operations, Writing Centre of Excellence (WCoE), Creative Services and Localization teams
  • Drive a “Customer First” mindset, ensuring appropriate focus and utilization of resources across all teams to meet customer needs and Agilent’s strategic priorities
  • Own and drive key strategic initiatives for the Marketing Operations and Content team, such as the development and implementation of a WW content asset development framework
  • Lead team to achieve and exceed team and individual targets related to marketing and organization goals. Drive accountability to ensure deliverables and outcomes are met within time and budget requirements
  • Foster a collaborative approach with stakeholders and partners. Work across worldwide teams in commercial operations and marketing, segments, and divisions to understand business strategies and align team resources to ensure effective outcomes
  • Foster continuous improvement to drive effectiveness of marketing operations and content development processes, implementing corrective actions as required, to ensure the delivery of outcomes in line with business and management expectations
  • Oversee all people manager related duties such as hiring, performance evaluation and management, expense, and contract approvals. Identify training and coaching needs for the team to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Ensure that Agilent Corporate standard business processes are followed by employees, partners, and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or University degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years related experience in marketing, plus seven years of relevant experience as a first level and second level manager
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills at the worldwide level in the implementation of organizational strategies, projects, technologies and processes, developing and managing high-performance teams, and change management
  • Demonstrated experience with the development of marketing processes at the enterprise level
  • Outstanding organization, planning, problem solving and process management/improvement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively throughout all hierarchical levels in an international, matrixed, business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships and external vendor and agency relationships
  • Ability to deal with high pressure, visibility, and workload
  • Good knowledge of Agilent products, services, markets, and market dynamics, and understanding of the industry sales process and buying influences of Agilent customers
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills

The US pay range for this full-time position is $178,080.00 - $328,335.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
