What You Will Be Doing:
Maintain the life cycle cost analysis workbook template and implement improvements and fixes as needed.
Review, analyze, and approve all life cycle cost analyses submitted from capital project teams as part of their gate 2 and 3 deliverables.
When needed, independently perform life cycle cost analysis on WTD initiatives and special projects with data and support from WTD internal staff as well as consultant teams.
Work with teams across WTD to create standard work, documentation, and check lists for life cycle cost analysis.
Participate in governance board meetings and activities, providing guidance and subject matter expertise.
Ensure timely and full flow of information between project teams and finance to allow for agile decision making.
Seek continuing education on state of the industry best practices, tools, and benchmarks for life cycle cost analysis.
Ensure WTD compliance with County and state requirements on life cycle cost analysis.
Collect and analyze data from life cycle cost library to inform budget, sewer rate, and asset management processes.
Other duties as assigned including as-needed support on capital budget, contract review for budget availability, and more.

Experience with wastewater utilities
Experience with King County budget process
Experience with cost-estimating
Working Conditions:
Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with onsite reporting requirements typically 1-2 days per month. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department’s vision of Green Where We Work.
Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends to meet business needs. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
