Job Summary: The duty station for this position is located in Kenai, Alaska. This position is temporary not to exceed 2 years; it may be extended, may be terminated early, or may become permanent without further competition.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to an FV-H/AT-AH (CPC)/FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience in an air traffic facility that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the level of work of the advertised position. This experience must have provided a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules and regulations; experience in conducting classroom training; and experience in creating training modules. Applicants must be FSS facility rated or previously have held a facility rating in a Flight Service Station (FSS). Applicants must indicate on their application package that they have held or currently have this rating. Applicants may be deemed ineligible if this is not clearly stated in your application package. The FAA 3330-43 (unrated) is a required form which will be used when making qualifications determination. Please do not include your social security number on this form. In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration. Do you currently hold or have you ever held an Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) or Flight Service Station (FSS) facility rating issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) while employed with the FAA at a federal AFSS/FSS facility OR possess a Flight Service Station facility rating issued by an FAA-authorized issuer?
